Luda’s Droppin’ a New Beat. 1.21 Gigawatts Mixtape drops November 15th as a gift to you, his loyal fans, and will blow you away. The title, a reference to Back to the Future (a gigawatt = a billion watts), is about “basically taking it out of control,” according to Luda. He continues, “This whole thing is something you’re going to pump louder than anything you’ve ever heard in your life, basically. It’s definitely for the streets.”

The commercial plays off the NBA lockout, showing the players competing in unconventional basketball settings, from senior and women’s leagues, to pick up games everywhere from Beijing to small American towns. SOUL by Ludacris took part in what did turn out to be, as Perez described “such a rad and ECLECTIC evening!!!”, Perez Hilton’s “One Night In… New York City” October 20th.

With all proceeds from ticket sales going to a great cause, about 3,000 New Yorkers celebrated Spirit Day with Perez at his party during CMJ Music Festival Week. The amazing evening of music featured Mary J. Blige, Boyz II Men, Anjulie, Iggy Azalea, and Karmin.

Perez thanked BMF Media, who helps put on all the “One Night” events, and SOUL by Ludacris for being an “amazing sponsor” in his blog Friday.
